This exciting program is designed for children ages 2-5 and encourages creativity, self-expression, and a love for music through interactive play.
Please note: Registration is open to district residents only.
What to Expect
During this 45-minute session, children will enjoy a delightful blend of storytime, music-making, and movement. This program is an incredible opportunity to introduce children to local music history while fostering their natural love for sound and rhythm in a welcoming and playful environment! With a focus on rhythm and fun, young participants will:
- Listen to engaging stories inspired by music and creativity.
- Move and dance along to lively rhythms.
- Play with simple shaker instruments and drums.
- Learn about the Coltrane family and their contributions to jazz history.
Why Attend?
The Coltrane family lived just a stone’s throw from the library, making this event a unique way to connect young learners with their community’s rich musical heritage. Through music and movement, children will develop essential skills such as listening, coordination, and self-expression, all while having a fantastic time!
Come play, move, and celebrate music with us at the Half Hollow Hills Library—we can’t wait to see you there!
