We are committed to making as much of our programming free as possible, so will be looking for strategic partnerships to fund our educational and outreach programming. We recently ran our first series of workshops in partnership with local libraries and were able to offer high quality programming at no charge using their donations. That is a model we will try to replicate going forward. Steve Fulgoni developed a relationship with Tom McPartland of Elma Philanthropies, who we will be looking to for support. We also will continue to pursue Suffolk County grants annually as well as other educational grant funding.
The Home has a built-in contractual capacity of 25 persons. In observance of this, we will gain income from school visits, senior visits, group visits etc. We also will continue to sell merchandise at our in-person events, at The Home when opened, and online. There is the possibility to greatly expand our merchandising revenue in the future.
The most promising income source is the basement studio and rehearsal space. There will be aspects of the recording studio/rehearsal space devoted to pro bono students and artists, but there will be a for a profit recording schedule, which will sustain The Home financially. We will internally generate a projected budget and specs for both the renovation of the studio and the projected earnings.
In addition, there will be active efforts led by the family in collaboration with the Board to begin a supporting relationship with an educational institutional partner (i.e. University) yielding long term financial support and the other benefits
