On October 3, 2026, Coltrane Home Board member Yasuhiro Fujioka hosted an exclusive listening session at Jazz at The Barn celebrating the upcoming release of The Tiberi Tapes. Attendees had the opportunity to be some of the first people to listen to these lost tapes. These tapes are legendary private recordings of John Coltrane made by saxophonist Frank Tiberi in New York and Philadelphia clubs during the early 1960s.

Fuji opened the event by sharing his extensive Coltrane knowledge with the audience. The evening became an especially meaningful gathering of jazz history when Deen Tyner, son of McCoy Tyner, and Earl-John Powell, son of Bud Powell, stopped by to join Fuji and fellow Coltrane Home Board member Hollis King. It was a remarkable coming together of generations and an opportunity to listen to recordings that capture Coltrane and his musicians searching, experimenting, and pushing the music forward in real time.

The album The Tiberi Tapes will be released globally on November 6th 2026.
