Thank you to everyone who came out and made Coltrane Day 2015 MusicFest at Huntington’s Heckscher Park such a success! All the facets of our Long Island and Huntington community worked together to make this possible: musicians, educators, students, government officials, arts organizations (and particularly our partner, the Huntington Arts Council), businesses, and the concerned music-loving citizens at large. Please keep up with some of the great photos and videos from the event on facebook at www.facebook.com/coltranehome. More will be posted in the coming weeks. (We’ll also be posting photos, videos and some of the great music on this website as well.) And if you enjoyed yourself at Coltrane Day, feel free to let us know by commenting on our facebook page.
By the way, join us at JumpstART “An Evening of Free Public Arts” — at East End Arts — in Riverhead August 7th. Participate in our “Improv and Percussion workshop at 7pm as part of our Coltrane Legacy Education Project. It’ll be a blast. Coltrane Day 2016 coming next summer!
